Under the scorching heat at Paul Ricard, we supported RDsigns Racing Team in the 12-hour endurance race.
With temperatures hitting 36°C, it was no easy task — neither for the team nor for the Lamborghini GT3 car. Fortunately, the vehicle performed flawlessly without a single technical issue. We recorded the fastest pit stops and stuck to a strategy that allowed us to fight for third place, even without the fastest drivers in the field.
Unfortunately, due to the extreme heat, we had to shorten some of the driver stints, which made it harder to stay in the top three. Whether it was the temperature or a lack of experience from a rookie team member, we ended up with three on-track incidents. One of them resulted in rear-right wheel damage, which later led to a driveshaft failure. While the team managed to replace it in just 5 minutes, the process of getting the car back on track took an additional 18 minutes due to poor coordination from the organizers.
This incident ultimately buried our chances of bringing home a strong result.
We’re hopeful that in the upcoming races, the drivers will show more endurance, avoid mistakes, and the team will step up its overall performance.
Many thanks for all mechanics for strong performance in the pit and for car preparation for this race.
